Three Fort Worth charities got $250,000 richer thanks to a generous donation by The Big Good, a charity founded in 2020 by local celebrities and philanthropists Leon Bridges and Gary Patterson.

According to a press release, the pair presented the checks, which totaled $750,000, Tuesday to Tarrant To & Though, UpSpire, and United Community Center.

“For us, it is really cool to be able to see how the organizations apply these donation,” Bridges said via a statement. “Since all of them have such specific focuses, these efforts are improving Fort Worth in a variety of spaces.

“We can’t wait to see what our very deserving beneficiary partners do.”
